Feast of First Fruits

The Feast of First Fruits is found in Leviticus 23:9-14.  It is also known as Reishit (Re-SHEET) and is to be observed on Nisan 16.  On Reishit people offered the first ripe sheaf (first fruits) of barley to the Lord as an act of dedicating the harvest to Him.  On Passover, a marked sheaf of grain was bundled and left standing in the field.  On the next day, the first day of Unleavened Bread, the sheaf was cut and prepared for the offering on the third day.  On this third day, Reishit, the priest waved the sheaf before the Lord.  Counting the Days (Omer) then begins and continues until the day after the seventh Sabbath, the 50th day, which is called Shavuot or Pentecost, the next feast on the calendar.

Firstfruits is a shadow picture of Yeshua’s resurrection.  Yesuha rose on the third day of Passover season, 16 Nisan, the day of Firstfruits.  That event gave new meaning to this agricultural holiday.  The apostle Paul, a Jewish believer and rabbi, wrote, “But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep.  For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man.  For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.  But each in turn:  Christ, the first fruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him” 1 Cor. 15:20-23.  Yeshua resurrection is the promise of the future resurrection of believers, John 5:28-30.

Although most believers in Yeshua have never heard of Reishit, they celebrate it as Resurrection Day, or even worse Easter which is, in truth, a pagan/heathen holiday that has been twisted by evil men to be a holy day. Ezekiel 20:4-8.

The Feasts are all Shadow Pictures of Yeshua.  The Spring Feasts show His first coming.  The Fall Feasts show His second coming.  Let those that have ears that hear, eyes that see, hearts that perceive and love the truth know what the Ruach haKodesh is saying to the churches.

Come out of the Religious System of the World on this Feast of First Fruits!  For it is written, O YHVH, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction, The Gentiles shall come to You From the ends of the earth and say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, Worthlessness and UNprofitable!

For those with a love for the truth read these words: Jeremiah 16:19-21
