Spoken to the disciples during Week 21 of Yeshua’s Ministry while atop a mountain near the Kenneret.
The first “Sermon on the Mount” Yeshua proclaims “the rules of the Kingdom” to the disciples who climb the mountain to hear in direct opposition to the rules of the Pharisees.
Matthew 6:19 Do not lay up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moth and rust corrupt, and thieves break in and steal. 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not break in or steal. 21Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Matthew 6:22-23
22The light of your life is your perspective.{1} Therefore, if your perspective is positive, your whole life will be full of light! 23But if your perspective is negative, your whole life will be full of darkness. Therefore, if the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
