Matthew — Mark — Luke — John 10:1-39

Yeshua teaches during the Feast of Hanukkah “the door of the sheepfold” and “the good shepherd” [26th Day of the 9th Month - 2nd Day of the 10th Month; 4027 FC; December 14 - 20, 27 CE]

Spoken to the masses during Weeks 43 & 44, Days 302-308, of Yeshua’s Ministry in Jerusalem.

John 10:1-39

John 10:1 TRUTH I speak to you, he that does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber. 2 But he that enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. 4 When he leads his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. 5 A stranger they will not follow, but will flee from him, for they know not the voice of strangers.

6 This parable Yeshua spoke to them, but they did not understand the things that he spoke to them. 7 Then Yeshua said to them again, “TRUTH I speak to you, I am the door of the sheepfold! 8 All those that came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am The Door: if any man enter in through me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. 12 He that is a hireling, and not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, flees and leaves the sheep. The wolf catches them and scatters the sheep. 13 The hireling flees because he is a hireling. He does not really care for the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd, and I know my sheep, and I am known by mine. 15 As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must also bring them, and they shall hear my voice. There shall be one fold, and one shepherd. 17 My Father loves me and I lay down my life because I will take it up again. 18 No man takes it from me, but I lay it down by myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. This promise have I received from my Father.

19 These sayings caused another division among the people 20 and many of them said, “He has a demon! He is mad! Why do you listen to him?” 21 Others said, “These are not the words of one who has a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?” 22 All these things took place in Yerushalayim at the Feast of Hanukkah that winter.”

23 Yeshua walked into Solomon’s porch on the Temple Mount. 24 The religious leaders encircled him and demanded, “How long will you make us wonder? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” 25 Yeshua answered them, “I have already told you, and you do not believe: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me. 26 But you do not believe because you are not among my sheep, as I said to you. 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 I will give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and my Father are one.”

31 Then the religious leaders took up stones again to stone him. 32 Yeshua answered them, “Many good works have I shown you from my Father; for which of those works do you stone me?” 33 The religious leaders answered him, “We do not stone you for a good work – we stone you for blasphemy! Because you, being a man, make yourself YeHoVah.” 34 Yeshua answered them, “It is written in the Torah ‘You are Elohim.’ 35 If he called them Elohim, to whom the word of YeHoVah came, and the Scripture cannot be in error, 36 how do you say of him, whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You blaspheme’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of YeHoVah?’ 37 If I do not do the works of my Father, do not believe me. 38 But if I do the works of my Father, though you do not believe in me, believe the works: that you may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.” 39 Then they tried to take him again, but he escaped out of their hand.

{Jn 10:2.1} In the first part of the parable, the door of the sheepfold can be understood as the Torah, the instructions from our Creator at Mount Sinai – and Yeshua, the true shepherd comes in through the door. Yeshua then plainly tells his disciples that he is the door and all that came before him were misleading the sheep. Yeshua is the embodiment of the instructions from our Creator. He is The Prophet who was promised, the teacher, the living Torah (verse 7).

{Jn 10:8.1} These are the religious leaders who invent their own rules and regulations to enslave and manipulate the flock for easy fleecing.

The works of Our Father are vast and mysterious.  The revelation of the deeper meaning is a gift, likened to that of the free gift of living forever with Him.  He knows the number of stars in the sky, the grains of sand in the sea and I believe he makes known the mystery of the numbers to men like you and me.  For they prove the words written by the Apostles and Prophets through countless years and days all were guided by the Holy Spirit, the one who walks beside us as we walk along The Way.

Oh dear friend, do you see how the religious system so skillfully creeps in over the wall.  Like an enemy who plants the tares amongst the wheat do they enter in whispering teachings other than the Truth found in the the Torah.  The religious system tells you the writings of old are invalid and not part of the new covenant.  They cast a spell of blindness over the eyes of the children and put poison in there little loving hearts that those who have preserved the Word of God are ALL corrupt and evil, stealing away a great blessing to be given unto them.

This is the day to reach up and knock on heaven’s door.  Ask for TRUTH!  Be Ye Not Deceived by the lies of the enemy.  Grace is not Free!  But it is a gift given freely to all those that hear the Good Shepard and follow Him.  Grace is the Power of His Love to Overcome the darkness of this age.  Yea, to rise up and manifest The Kingdom for The Kingdom Comes not with cunning words of men but with a demonstration of Power.  As I have told you before, Lay Hands on one another - Command and Decree the Living Water within to flow freely upon all the sheep folds, Love the parable teachings of Torah, Live for Truth and bind the lies of the religious system!  Set the captives FREE!  Don’t suffer the little children to come unto Him!
